Today we used photoshop to make Louis Walsh look positively Angelic.

Also Some ideas were submitted For a Safe side Truck door scenario contrasted with a dangerous/destructive side:

Today we explored the possibilities of photoshop……. Not really uncharted territory for myself as I’m an old hand at this sort of thing but at least I had the chance to reacquaint myself with key commands and Selection Tools and discovered a few new features added to the PS4 Interface. I also had some fun here doing the “Mr Vegetable Head” exercise from way back, and I even found a suitable partner for him…….. aah

He's not that much of a dancer.....
We also Submitted Some Road sign semiotics 1: interpretations of given ideas and 2: our own ideas……
My Original Road sign Ideas were warning signs for “Low Flying Aircraft” and “Drunk Pedestrians”.

Today was an interesting first day, on a par with first day at primary school, I think (if only I could remember back that far).
Colouring in and drawing shapes, oh! the nostalgia!
We met our charming new Tutor Niamh who immediately threw all of us newbies in at the deep-end with a couple of wonderful exercises in semiotics where;
1) We had to communicate, through the use of four black squares the meanings of the words
Order, Increase, Bold, Congested, Tension and Playful.
2) We had to convey, with images five examples each to represent the concepts of i) Positive and ii) Negative.
We also had a tutorial in the use of the Classroom scanner with Canon MP Navigator EX.01 Software

Almost Finished
I Scanned the sheet I was working on at the time, to convey Positive and Negative.
We then proceeded to construct the Blog you are now reading. Welcome to a Work in Progress.
A most enjoyable day.
